Russia's Defense Ministry said on Friday it was conducting exercises with mobile nuclear launchers "Yars", less than a month after it conducted exercises to deploy tactical nuclear weapons with ally Belarus, relaying " ;Reuters", quoted by News.bg.
The ministry said that the crews of the Yars missile launchers in at least two different regions must travel over 100 kilometers (62 miles) and practice camouflage and deployment.
The ministry released a video showing a mobile missile being carried by troops along a forest road before being deployed and covered with camouflage netting.
"Similar exercises will be conducted in the near future by other missile units", the Ministry of Defense said.
In June, Russia conducted tactical nuclear weapons exercises with Belarus.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the time that Moscow did not need to use nuclear weapons to secure victory in Ukraine, but added that he did not rule out changes to the country's nuclear doctrine.
