Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central city of Deir al-Balah and an agency reporter confirmed the death toll.
According to witnesses, the strike was aimed at a makeshift post guarded by the Gaza police, which is under the control of "Hamas". The post was located in the school. There is no immediate comment from the Israeli armed forces, but the country has already struck schools in Gaza that have been turned into shelters. The Israeli military accuses "Hamas" extremists of hiding in these facilities, AP recalls.
