Following the Israeli strike on Iranian territory, Bahrain condemned the military operation against the Islamic Republic , warning of the dangerous consequences of the escalation of the conflict for the civilian population and the humanitarian situation in the region.
„The Kingdom calls on all parties to the conflict to exercise restraint and prioritize de-escalation to prevent the spread of war. It is necessary to resume peace talks to achieve regional security and stability, as well as the protection of all peoples in the region,” said a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain.
Furthermore, the department pointed to the need for a ceasefire in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, as well as the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions on the situation in the Middle East. “The kingdom calls for the protection of civilians, the safe return of refugees to their homes, the release of hostages and the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid,” the ministry added.
