Russian air defense systems have thwarted a series of Ukrainian drone attacks, Russian authorities said early today, quoted by DPA, BTA reported.
A total of 56 drones were destroyed in the attacks, with 28 downed in Voronezh region, 11 in Belgorod region and 17 in Rostov region, the Russian Defense Ministry said. In Belgorod region, two residents were injured by shrapnel, local authorities said.
DPA notes that this information cannot be independently confirmed. Ukraine is increasingly using drones as part of its defense against Russia, whose troops invaded Ukrainian territory in February 2022.
