North Korea has tested a strategic cruise missile, the North Korean news agency KCNA reported, quoted by BTA.
According to the statement, the country's leader Kim Jong-un supervised the test.
The missile traveled 1,500 km and flew between 7,507 and 7,511 seconds before hitting the target, KCNA reported.
Quoted by the agency, Kim Jong-un promised to continue efforts to strengthen North Korea's military power.
This is the third known test that North Korea has conducted since the beginning of the year, the Associated Press recalls.
