A suspect has been detained in Krasnodar for the arson attacks on three restaurants in the city center, the Telegram channel Shot reported.
According to the source, a 19-year-old resident of the Dinsky district set fire to restaurants on behalf of "extortionists" from Ukraine. He admitted that he received instructions from unknown persons after his account was hacked and he was threatened that his personal data would be used to commit illegal acts.
On the evening of January 25, three restaurants in Krasnodar caught fire one after another. According to local residents, a large-scale fire broke out in the center of the Russian city, on "Krasnaya" street, in the "MesoLOVE" establishment. People said that at around 10:20 p.m. a man in camouflage entered the restaurant, threw his backpack on the floor and ran away, and the bag immediately caught fire.
50 customers and staff were evacuated, according to preliminary information, no one was injured.
The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations deployed 28 employees and six units of equipment to extinguish the fire. At 10:53 p.m., the fire was completely extinguished.
At 10:51 p.m., information was received about a fire in a restaurant on Severnaya Street, the fire was extinguished, and 37 people were evacuated.
Another fire broke out on "Krasnaya" Street at 11:36 p.m.
At 11:45 p.m., the fire was extinguished, and 15 people were evacuated.
