Two Serbian students were attacked at night in Novi Sad, their colleagues announced on Instagram, BTA reported.
The attack took place at 3:24 a.m. local time, the Emergency Service in the northern Serbian city also reported a short while ago. According to information from the Serbian news agency TANJUG, unknown men attacked the two students with clubs, one of whom has a broken jaw and has been admitted to the surgical ward in Novi Sad.
The police are working to establish all circumstances surrounding the incident, TANJUG also wrote. A protest has been planned because of what happened in Novi Sad. Its start time has not yet been announced.
Students across Serbia are protesting against the government and President Aleksandar Vucic, who they believe are responsible for the collapse of a concrete canopy at a train station in the northern Serbian city, which killed 15 people and seriously injured two on November 1 last year.
