The Israeli army announced that it had intercepted a drone sent by the Lebanese group „Hezbollah“, reported Agence France-Presse and Reuters. It has not yet been specified whether the drone was shot down over Israeli or Lebanese territory, quoted by BTA.
„A „Hezbollah“ surveillance drone, which was launched towards Israeli territory, was intercepted by the air force without activating the air raid sirens over northern Israel“, the official statement of the army said.
Tensions between Israel and „Hezbollah“ remains high despite the fragile ceasefire in place since November 27.
