Earlier, local Telegram channels reported that a loud explosion echoed in the center of the Ukrainian Black Sea city ten minutes after at 7:10 p.m. An alert was declared due to a missile attack from Crimea.
According to local media, the Odessa hotel "Bristol", which is located in the historical part of the city and is a cultural monument, was hit.
The regional authorities called on residents to hide in bomb shelters until the end of the alert is declared.
The threat of a missile attack remains.
