Turkey: Bulgaria is in second place in our exports

Iraq ranked first in Turkey's export list to neighboring countries last year

Turkish exports in 2024 to neighboring countries Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Greece reached 34.2 billion dollars.

According to information from the Turkish national radio and television corporation TRT Haber, a 7.4 percent increase in exports was recorded compared to 2023, when its value was 31.9 billion dollars.

It is stated that in 2024, exports to neighboring countries reached their highest value so far.

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, the total amount of exports in 2024 reached 261.9 billion. dollars, which is considered a record in history.

First in Turkey's export list to neighboring countries last year was Iraq, for which exports amounted to 13 billion dollars. Bulgaria is in second place with exports of 5.2 billion dollars. The highest annual growth was achieved in exports to Bulgaria - 21.9 percent.

Greece is in third place with 4.8 billion dollars and an increase of 15.5 percent.

Exports also increased to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Syria.

Only for Iran, exports decreased by 0.5 percent compared to 2023.

Armenia is not included in the export data to neighboring countries because Turkey does not have direct trade relations with this country, TRT Haber points out.
