Pope Francis has spent a sixth night in hospital for treatment of pneumonia, SIR (Servizio Informazione Religiosa) reported, the Holy See press service reported.
The pope's condition remains stable, and blood tests have even shown a “slight improvement“.
Pope Francis has been admitted to the capital's “Gemelli“ hospital for treatment. The Vatican statement said he had a “restful night“. The 88-year-old Pope Francis was hospitalized on Friday for bilateral pneumonia.
No date has been announced for Francis' discharge, and his planned events for the coming days have been canceled. In the hospital, the Pope was visited by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, with whom he spoke for twenty minutes.
