The administration of US President Donald Trump does not intend to continue funding the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. This was stated by White House press secretary Caroline Levitt in an interview with Fox News.
She emphasized that former US President Joe Biden is no longer in the Oval Office.
“We will no longer just write checks for a distant war without real, lasting peace“, Levitt said.
Earlier, The Washington Post reported that the Donald Trump administration is considering the possibility of cutting off the supply of military aid to Kiev after the dispute between the American leader and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House. This possibility is seen as a response to the behavior of the Ukrainian president in the Oval Office and "his apparent intransigence regarding the peace process."
US President Donald Trump commented on his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky after the quarrel in the White House, Sky News reported.
"Suddenly Zelensky has become a "big figure" because he has the United States on his side, but without us he will not win," the American leader warned.
Trump noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to end the conflict, while Zelensky has presented himself as a person who wants to "fight, fight, fight."
The American leader previously said that Zelensky had shown disrespect for the United States. As Trump pointed out, the Ukrainian president “can come back when he is ready for peace“.
American billionaire and head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk responded with one word” to a video posted by an X user, during which Zelensky curses during a fight with Vance.
"What?!", the billionaire wrote.
Earlier, Fox News journalist Jackie Heinrich learned that Trump had kicked Zelensky out of the White House. She noted that the guest's behavior irritated Trump and his team. They did not like the way he "shrugged his shoulders and rolled his eyes".
