British International Development Minister Anneliese Dodds has resigned following Prime Minister Keir Starmer's decision to increase defense spending at the expense of foreign aid.
She announced the news on her X social media page.
“Ultimately, these cuts will deprive desperate people of food and medical care“, Dodds warned.
She also stressed that Starmer's policies would damage the UK's reputation. At the same time, Dodds clarified that she understood that there were no “easy ways” to increase the defense budget.
