Imposed South Korean President Yun Suk-yeol has been released from custody after a court overturned his detention order, South Korean news agency Yonhap reported, BTA reports.
Yoon was arrested in mid-January on sedition charges.
He was detained at his Seoul residence in a second attempt by authorities after his bodyguards and dozens of supporters initially prevented officers from the Corruption Investigation Bureau from arresting him.
On February 20, the Seoul Central District Court opened a criminal case against Yun, who is accused of organizing a coup.
The conservative president caused political chaos in South Korea on December 3 last year when he declared martial law and sent the army to parliament, world agencies recall.
