Poland has declared Saturday, April 26, a day of national mourning for the death of Pope Francis, the Polish presidential institution announced today, quoted by Agence France-Presse.
Poland is a traditionally Catholic country and therefore declares the day on which the Pope's funeral will take place a day of national mourning.
"In connection with the death of the Holy Father, President Andrzej Duda has decided to declare April 26, the day of the funeral, a day of national mourning," the Polish presidential institution said on the social network "Ex".
Head of State Duda and his wife will attend the Pope's funeral in the Vatican.
