Fall debris from a hit Russian missile damaged five houses in the Podolsk district of the Odessa region this morning, the head of the Odessa regional military administration Oleg Kiper reported in the “Telegram“ application, BTA reports.
As a result of the massive missile attack across Ukraine, a fire broke out in one of the affected houses, but it was quickly extinguished by the rescue teams of the State Emergency Service. All relevant services are working on the scene, and there is currently no information about injuries.
The attack lasted more than four hours – from 02:55 to 07:14. local time.
Over 150,000 ethnic Bulgarians live in the Odessa region, making them the third largest community according to the official census in Ukraine in 2001. Between 50,000 and 60,000 Bulgarians reside in the city of Odessa itself, and the largest compact Bulgarian communities are in the Bolgrad, Izmail, and Belgorod-Dniester regions.
