Trump's new heavy blow to Ukraine: Maxar blocks ZSU's access to satellite images - 1

American space technology company Maxar Technologies has blocked Ukraine's access to satellite images, UNIAN reported, citing mil.in.ua.

The suspension is a consequence of the US government's ban on providing intelligence data to Ukraine. President Donald Trump has banned American companies from providing satellite data to Ukraine.

Maxar Technologies is perhaps the main supplier of commercial satellite images to Ukraine on the movement of Russian troops, as well as the consequences of strikes on important objects, both in the temporarily occupied territories and in the Russian Federation itself.

On March 5, the US stopped sharing intelligence information with Ukraine. This data has been used to strike strategic targets in Russia, as well as to direct high-precision American weapons for strikes near the front line. The intelligence data is of utmost importance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

The United States is temporarily stopping sending Ukraine important intelligence information, CIA Director John Ratcliffe announced earlier, quoted by DPA.

The agency notes that relations between the two countries remain strained after the verbal clash between their two leaders in the White House, BTA writes.

In an interview with "Fox Business" television, Ratcliffe confirmed that there is a "pause" in support "on the military front and in intelligence". The Trump administration announced on Monday that it was suspending all US military aid to Ukraine, which has been defending itself from a full-scale Russian attack for more than three years, DPA recalls.

France continues to provide intelligence to Ukraine, French Armed Forces Minister Sébastien Lecornu said, quoted by Agence France-Presse and Reuters.

He said this after the US announced that it was suspending sharing such data with Kiev. Sharing intelligence is key to frontline operations against the Russian army, Lecornu stressed. “We have intelligence resources that we are using to help the Ukrainians“, he told France Inter radio.“.
