French "Mirage 2000" fighter jets last night for the first time participated in the actions of the Ukrainian air defense to repel a Russian attack, Ukrinform reported, citing the Ukrainian Air Force.
“The enemy air strike was repelled by air defense units, electronic warfare units, self-propelled fire systems of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces. Fighter jets, including F-16s and Mirage 2000s, also took part in the defense," the Ukrainian Air Force's publication on the Telegram app said.
The Air Force notes that French Mirage 2000 fighters, which arrived in Ukraine just a month ago, participated in repelling an enemy attack for the first time during the resistance to Russian military operations in Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022.
Ukrainian air defenses shot down 25 Russian Kh-101/Kh-55SM cruise missiles, 8 Kalibr missiles, one Kh-59/69 air-to-ground guided missile, and 100 drones that night, Ukrinform reports.
