Moldova is the target of increasingly overt Russian attempts at destabilization, French President Emmanuel Macron said today, quoted by Reuters, BTA reports.
The agency notes that Moldova, which borders Ukraine, is seeking to join the European Union by 2030.
“Moldova, whose airspace is regularly invaded by Russian drones and missiles, must fight against increasingly assertive Russian attempts at destabilization, aimed in particular at the democratic institutions of your country,“ Macron said during a joint press conference in Paris with Moldovan President Maia Sandu.
