The European Commission confirmed that it has unanimously extended the effect of individual sanctions imposed on Russia over the war in Ukraine. The decision was taken earlier today at a closed meeting of EU ambassadors in Brussels, BTA reports.
It was unanimously decided to extend sanctions against those who pose a threat to the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine for another six months, a European Commission spokesman said. He added that the EU is preparing more sanctions against Russia, stressing that these measures have an impact on the Russian side.
