The President of France Emmanuel Macron called on Russia to stop making statements that are buying time and to accept the US-Ukrainian proposal for a ceasefire for 30 days, as well as to stop the bullying in Ukraine, Agence France-Presse reported, quoted by BTA.
"Tomorrow we will continue to work to strengthen support for Ukraine and for a solid and lasting peace", Macron said, recalling the videoconference summit organized by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer tomorrow of the countries that are ready to support Ukraine after a possible ceasefire. Macron said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will also participate in the meeting tomorrow. The two spoke by phone today. Macron also spoke with the British Prime Minister.
Zelensky described his conversation with Macron as productive and meaningful. The two discussed the technical aspects of monitoring compliance with the proposed ceasefire in Ukraine, Zelensky announced.
