Erdogan's Advisor: At this stage, the fate of 25% of Ukraine's territory is being discussed - 1

The Turkish President's Chief Advisor on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Çağatay Kılıç said that at this stage of the contacts to settle the Ukrainian conflict, the issue of 25% of Ukraine's territory is being discussed.

"The situation is developing extremely quickly", he said on NTV. "Progress is being made on some issues, then they are reviewed again. But the main problem is the loss of trust. Nobody trusts anyone. Since 2022, the two sides have met twice, in Turkey. And a significant distance has been covered in these negotiations. But due to the actions of some politicians who are no longer on the world stage, the situation has taken the path of continuing the war."

"The conditions discussed are currently being constantly revised, what territory and regions they concern. If in 2022 we were talking about 3% of the territory of Ukraine, now it is about 25%", the advisor to the Turkish president claims.

"But now one thing is absolutely clear - the war must end. And there is agreement on this idea. Ukraine is suffering, Russia is facing problems. In all this, the US and Europe are looking for their place. The process of finding a way out of the current situation continues. The intensive work of the delegations, acting on the instructions of their leaders, continues. Of course, binding decisions will be made by the leaders at a personal meeting, but before that there is still a way to go, it is best to prepare these decisions“, said Kılıç.
