Russia strikes Zelensky's hometown of Kryvyi Rih again, 12 injured in apartment building - 1

A Russian missile strike hit a residential area in the city of Kryvyi Rih, central Ukraine, injuring 12 people, including two children, the regional governor said, quoted by Reuters and BTA.

Sergiy Lysak, governor of Dnipropetrovsk region, posted photos on his Telegram channel showing damage to high-rise apartment buildings, private homes and a building that appears to house various businesses.

Olexander Vilkul, head of the city's military administration, reported direct hits in two areas of the city. One of the hit sites was a nightclub, he said.

Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of President Volodymyr Zelensky, has been repeatedly targeted by shelling since the war with Russia began three years ago. On Wednesday, a Russian missile strike killed one person and damaged an infrastructure site, high-rise apartment buildings and administrative buildings.

In the southern Kherson region, Russian guided bombs hit a number of targets, including a residential area in the city of Kherson, killing one person, the regional governor said on Telegram.

And in the area of the Black Sea city of Odessa, Russian drones attacked the neighboring city of Chernomorsk and completely cut off the power supply to its residents, authorities said.

Russia subjected the Odessa region to a new massive drone attack last night, the head of the Odessa regional military administration, Oleg Kiper, said on the "Telegram" application, quoted by BTA.

As a result of the strike and the hit of a target in the energy infrastructure, the city of Chernomorsk was left completely without electricity, Kiper said.

There are points in the city where people can warm up and charge their phones.

The relevant services have been mobilized to eliminate the consequences of the drone attack.

The sirens in the Odessa region were activated at 9:13 p.m., and were turned off at 10:49 p.m. About 20 drones attacked Chernomorsk, Belgorod-Dnestrovsk and Odessa from the Black Sea area that evening.

The Bulgarians in the Odessa region number over 150,000 people and are the third largest according to the official census in Ukraine in 2001. About 50-60 thousand Bulgarians live in the city of Odessa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolgradsky, Izmailsky and Belgorod-Dnestrovsky districts.
