Marine Le Pen will appeal the court's decision that sentenced the French far-right leader to four years in prison, her lawyer said, quoted by "Agence France-Presse", BTA reports.
According to the court's decision, two of the four years in prison will be suspended. In addition, Le Pen is also banned from holding public office for five years.
"This is a blow to democracy," her lawyer said.
The spokesman for her "National Rally" party stressed that Le Pen would continue to fight.
Le Pen is considered one of the favorites for the presidential elections in France, scheduled for 2027.
