Servicemen of the Russian and Indian navies successfully completed the joint exercises "Indra Navy 2025" in the Bay of Bengal, fulfilling all the assigned tasks with high professional training, the Indian Embassy in Russia reported to TASS, BTA reports.
A detachment of warships from the Russian Pacific Fleet took part in the maneuvers, including the corvettes "Rezki" and "Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov", as well as the medium sea tanker "Pechenga". The destroyer "Rana" and the corvette "Qatar" participated from the Indian side. After the exercises were completed, the ships returned to the port of Chennai.
The first Russian-Indian naval exercises "Indra Navy" were held in May 2003 off the west coast of India. Since then, they have been organized regularly on a rotational basis. The previous edition of the maneuvers, in July 2024, took place in the Gulf of Finland.
