The Ukrainian military planned its operations to counter the Russian invasion together with the United States in the German city of Wiesbaden, Hesse province, the former commander-in-chief of the armed forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny, announced on "Facebook", quoted by DPA, writes BTA.

"There was a lot of talk about Wiesbaden last week. This headquarters has truly become our and our partners' secret weapon in planning operations and creating the need for their implementation," Zaluzhny wrote in English after an extensive report in the "New York Times" newspaper on March 29.

Gen. Zaluzhny was the commander-in-chief of the armed forces of Ukraine until February 2024 before being dismissed and appointed ambassador to London.

He effectively confirmed that the United States was involved in the planning of combat operations to a greater extent than previously acknowledged. The headquarters was established in the summer of 2022 with the help of Britain. Earlier, in April of that year, a coordination center was established in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Zaluzhny said. It was then transferred to Wiesbaden.

According to information from the "New York Times", American military assistance goes far beyond the supply of weapons and the provision of intelligence, and also includes the planning of specific military operations.

Moscow accuses Kiev of being a tool of Washington and criticizes the United States for indirectly waging war against Russia, DPA notes.
