Moscow claims that Ukraine has carried out five attacks on Russian energy infrastructure in the past 24 hours, despite a temporary ceasefire agreed with US mediation, Reuters reported, BTA reports.
According to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry, Ukrainian strikes were directed at energy facilities in the Russian Kursk and Bryansk regions, as well as in Russian-controlled parts of the Ukrainian Luhansk and Zaporizhia regions.
Reuters emphasizes that the information cannot be confirmed by independent sources.
Ukraine reacted sharply through Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, who stated that Moscow "continues to escalate terror", the Ukrainian Ukrinform agency reports.
„Today marks exactly one month since Russia refused to accept the temporary ceasefire proposal made by the United States. On March 11, in Jeddah, Ukraine unconditionally accepted the proposal. "However, Russia set conditions and continued with attacks on the civilian population," Sibiga wrote on the social network “Ex“.
According to the Ukrainian minister, from March 11 to April 11, Russia used nearly 70 missiles of various types, over 2,200 “Shahed“ drones and more than 6,000 guided aerial bombs against Ukraine.
“Russia needs to feel real power in order to take peace seriously“, Sibiga concluded.
