Even ending the war with the Russian Federation with minimal losses of territory would be a victory for Ukraine.
This opinion was expressed by the senior sergeant of the sniper company of the "Rubizh" brigade Nikolay "Raptor" in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
He said that he went to the front at the age of 20 because he had a vision for the future of Ukraine and did not want to leave this war to his children.
"This war fell on my generation - and I want it to end with my generation. I want my children to live in a truly independent state. And if this state will be within the limits of 91% - that would be very cool. I hope so," the Ukrainian military said.
Asked if the Ukrainian armed forces can now reach the 1991 borders, Raptor advised people not to bet on this idea anymore, because in this war, a minimal loss of territory would already be a victory.
"For one simple reason: we are no longer 100 percent. We, the fighters, are doing the best we can. We cannot squeeze more out of ourselves.
Therefore, if we manage to stop the enemy at least where we have already lost, it will be a great victory. Because at the beginning of a full-scale war, we had a chance to lose everything. And we defended our positions. And this deserves great respect," Raptor added.
