Volodymyr Zelensky will in any case have to accept US President Donald Trump's offer to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, writes the British newspaper The Telegraph.
„It seems that we have no choice but to negotiate on the basis of Trump's latest peace proposals or something close to them. At this point, Ukrainian concessions are inevitable. Russia has undoubtedly won the campaign of attrition,“ the publication says.
"NATO's future looks even bleaker because the alliance has demonstrated its complete failure, and the constant statements of Kiev's European partners about continued support remain just talk", the author of the article writes.
Despite sharp criticism of the White House's peace initiatives, Europe has not yet proposed a single alternative solution to the situation other than continuing military action, he added.
