We have record passenger numbers, a record public transport renewal program and a record number of timetable improvements. This was stated in the studio of “Day Live” on NOVA NEWS the municipal councilor from PP-DB-SS Boris Bonev.
“We have proposed to allocate funds for the construction of 4 km of new trolleybus route in the Lyulin district, which will replace bus 310. In the meantime, a public tender for 80 new trolleybuses has been launched as part of the largest program for the modernization of the city transport in the history of Sofia, developed on the initiative of PP-DB and “Save Sofia”, supported by Vasil Terziev, for over 1 billion BGN”, explained Bonev.
He criticized Yordanka Fandakova's management as a former mayor.
„With all my respect for her, I can rate her “absolutely failed mayor”. She had 20 years in which, extremely comfortable with the government and with a majority in the Municipal Council, she could make all the changes in the city, so that it not only catches up with its European competitors, but also overtakes them”, claims Bonev.< /strong>
According to him, three of the most important things for the capital are a fair competition for the chief architect, the upcoming contract for cleaning the city and the budget for 2025
„Our priorities are parking lots, parks, investments in neighborhoods and transport infrastructure”, concluded Bonev.
