Ninova: A crisis is looming, but they are not talking about the economy - they are bargaining for positions - 1

„In the 18th month, industrial production is going down, exports are falling, foreign investments are down 75%. Such processes are also observed in Europe. Yesterday I read that a large factory in Germany is laying off 5 thousand people, 1000 of them are Bulgarians. 600 of them work in the high-tech autonomous car sector. What will happen to these educated young people. But no one talks about the economy, we only see bargaining for posts and a fixation on the 3% deficit.

This was stated by Cornelia Ninova in a conversation with Konstantin Valkov in the weekly overview program of Darik Radio.

„The battle with this model of dependencies, behind the scenes, parallel state was the meaning of my work during 8 years as chairman of the BSP”, said Ninova and in the conversation about the exit from today's crisis, he added: “I wish the people wake up, to be angry, because there is the solution. But for now, it doesn't seem to work“.

„Every day there are new and new signals about Peevski's influence. But, as the people said, “he who eats the pie is not mad, but the one who gives it to him”. For me, the basis of all this is the GERD model. Borisov and Peevski are related. "The one who ruled during those years gave the opportunity to the one who was not directly involved to gain such influence," Cornelia Ninova said in response to questions in the studio.

When asked what she would do if she were in the parliament now, she answered: “In another way - I would convince the parliamentary group to support Silvi Kirilov. The BSP would have declared a categorical anti-GERD position and I would have supported the sanitary cordon. The other seems to me like a heavy dependence on Borisov and Peevski. It was seen that my former party members were the only ones who voted with "abstain". All the others were against Raya Nazaryan's candidacy. And added:

„I expected this behavior of the current BSP leadership. Over the years, there was pressure on me for similar votes, positions, actions, but I did not succumb to this pressure, and I know how some maneuvered and behaved.

When asked if the reduced results were the reason for her expulsion from the BSP, Ninova answered: “The reduced results are the reason for my resignation. And I took the responsibility. But they are not the reason for my exclusion. The reason they excluded me was that I was not in, that I did not appear in the direct election, because they know that the socialists respect me and that I will win the direct election. But the deep reasons for excluding me are completely different," said the former social leader, and when asked who they were, he said: "The deep state also took over the BSP. I was a brake on that and the system threw me out."

When asked about a forecast of how the red group will continue, she answered “They will be offered in all directions, without principles, for posts, positions and public procurement. They will betray the people who voted for the principles and the cause”.

„I think more and more that the results of the BSP were brought down deliberately over the years. But what really shocked me about this election was what I saw on social media and in media videos – perhaps for the first time in the BSP, influence, vote buying was used. Especially in small settlements, in one section, for example – BSP to have 1 vote in June, now in October – 91 votes. I would never allow that. The last elections were below the bottom if we talk about the fairness of the electoral process”, comments Cornelia Ninova.

And in the conversation about the honesty of the vote and requests for cashing, he added: “The President expressed doubts about the honesty of the vote, but did not dispute it. If he was honest, he should have contested the election first. He said that the parliament was illegitimate, but he legitimized it. He went to the parliament, but he didn't go to the rostrum to state his position, as he did other times,”, Kornelia Ninova also said in the conversation about Darik.

About the position of socialists who leave the party like Petko Tyufekchiev from Veliko Tarnovo and his words “I will not work for Peevski”, she said: “These people move the work to other places. And they see that what they worked for has been betrayed, sold, that this leadership is negotiating, arranging itself”, Ninova pointed out.

Cornelia Ninova gave another example: “The current leadership of the BSP said that it is ending the war with the president that I have led. The difference is that I say where we have a problem with the president, clearly and openly. In front of the audience, they say “we are ending the war with the president”, then they enter the hall, stick a knife in his back and vote with Peevski, who calls the presidency a safe and Radev Mr. Cash.

To the question of whether President Radev is an alternative, Ninova answered: “Radev ruled with official offices for 1 year, 8 months and 12 days – what has changed in that time? The president is already part of the status quo, pretending to be an alternative, regrouping depending on the situation – first with PP against Borisov, then with Borisov against PP, now with Dogan against Peevski.

In her words, changes in the Electoral Code are necessary. “I am a supporter of active registration – no dead people, no more than 40 people per address registration and other similar phenomena. I think people should have the right to choose and vote both by paper and by machine. The video surveillance should be used as evidence in the court against the election crimes”, Kornelia Ninova pointed out.

When asked which 3 priorities she would bring to her future political work, she answered: “First of all, morals and principles, no business interests in making politics. Second – patriotism, European Bulgaria. In third place – an economy that would serve as a basis for making a strong social policy, for incomes, fighting inequalities, overcoming regional differences. And my personal priority – development of high technologies, including artificial intelligence, with all its advantages and threats, concluded Kornelia Ninova.
