There is a need for parties that are like a sieve for citizens who fought for causes and in one moment enter politics because certain topics are not set. This is what he said in the show "Face to Face" on BTV the co-chairman of the new party "Bulgaria can" Kuzman Iliev.
For a long time, I don't remember any parties that were created from the bottom up, with causes. I don't just bet on popularity, on backs, but on convictions, messages, true messages, true theses, he added.
When asked about other members of the leadership of the new party - Ivo Ruschev, who is a former MP from "Vazrazhdane", Alexander Marinov, former chairman of the Strategic Council under President Rumen Radev, Iliev pointed out: "These people are very useful in building an organization. A negative experience is also a useful experience. And the people from "Vazrazhdane", when they set out to create a nationally responsible party, did not like the fact that they were going to change the sex of children, they did not like the hysteria of waging war against Russia. These are the most important questions. We think there should be dialogue, diplomacy about the war in Ukraine. This is not a pro-Russian position, and Trump says so. This is the most pro-Bulgarian position, this is normality. The other is the abnormal. There is nothing new with me, I stand by the positions I stood for before the war".
He defined the judicial system in our country as a "bat and rubber stamp for the parties". There must be a brutal judicial reform, emphasized the co-chairman of "Bulgaria can".
Asked what he thought of requests from "We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria" sanitary cordon around the leader of the "DPS – A New Beginning" Delyan Peevski, Kuzman Iliev noted: "We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria" they make good sanitary cordons, but weren't they in Peevski's lap? We can't lie to people. If Peevski's party proposes something reasonable, should we say we won't support it just because it's Peevski? We would support it, just as we would not support it if Peevski proposed something unreasonable. I would work with both Kiril Petkov and Boyko Borisov - I am not interested in the specific figures, we are looking at the proposals.
In response to a question about the new party's position on Bulgaria's entry into the Eurozone, Iliev said: "There is a wrongly posed question - lev or euro, and the lev is tied to the euro. There is a huge risk of wreaking havoc with people's Bulgarian money, so when we go in we have to put pressure on the European Central Bank to stop printing money and fill our reserves with gold to secure the currency.
In his words, there have been no sovereign politicians in Bulgaria for 80 years, and our politicians are subordinated to foreign interests.
When asked what his opinion is specifically about President Rumen Radev, the co-chairman of "Bulgaria can": "Rumen Radev is a good, solid politician, one of the strongest. The Bulgarian politician must stand with dignity and not bow down to foreign politicians".
