Yesterday, unfortunately, we understand from the media, that there was a tragic accident with a person who apparently somehow got into the plant, passed through the machines and was only then discovered, pointed out the municipal councilor from the GERB-SDS group Anton Hekimyan. He gave a press conference in front of the Capital Enterprise for waste treatment in the village of Yana.
In one year during Terziev's time, this waste processing plant has turned into a black hole, and already into a horror movie, he said and continued: "This plant is a black hole because there is total blackout and lack of information".
According to Hekimyan, Vasil Terziev is the one who bears personal responsibility for the plant, “because it is a municipal enterprise and as a municipal enterprise he is obliged not only to control, but also to inform the public about what is happening here” .
According to Hekimyan, the resignation of the director is necessary because in the last year the management of the plant has been opaque and, according to him, there have been attempts to create turmoil.
We want to know how this tragic accident happened, are there people inside watching the process at all, is the work done in this plant in a quality way, does anyone observe the arrival and delivery of the garbage and the dumping of the garbage from the buckets into the bunkers, asked Hekimyan. According to him, there is a total lack of control.
It was only a matter of time before something unpleasant happened at the waste collection plant, commented municipal councilor Anna Stoikova. For months, we, the municipal councilors from GERB-SDS, have been asking questions, we have requested information with a single goal - that the waste treatment plant works according to the rules, transparently. Is the waste separated, or does it go directly into the shredder, Stoykova asked.
I am the person who participated on behalf of the municipal councilors from GERB-SDS in the conducted procedure for the election of a plant director, said municipal councilor Lorita Radeva. I have signed the documents with a dissenting opinion and my arguments for this are that this election was held with one candidate announced at a time when the SOS was not working. We didn't have an elected chairman. The procedure for selecting a director was formal, commented Radeva. We have repeatedly raised the question of the competence with which the enterprise is managed, she added.
The director of the capital enterprise for waste processing Nikolay Savov, who commented on the case to the media, said that yesterday morning they found the presence of a human corpse and the activity was immediately stopped, they alerted the police. Savov said that the corpse was not that of a factory worker.
As far as I know, it is about a person who was brought by a garbage truck, said Nikolay Savov. The director did not give more information about the case, pointing out that they are strictly forbidden by the Metropolitan Directorate of Internal Affairs to give any information.
On the issue of the admission of the municipal councilors from GERB-SDS to the plant, the director pointed out “When they asked for information according to the official order, they got it, including access to the plant,” said the director. “Every week we publish information on our website about how the plant is doing, how much has been processed, including a look at previous years and if you pay attention, you will see that this year, literally this year we have sold as much recyclables as we have in the last about two and a half, three years”, commented the director.
He indicated that he submitted information to the Mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev. What I am allowed and what I know - to provide him as information, I have provided, indicated the director. Savov said he will not resign “because it is seen that the plant is working much better. Last year he worked for one hour, stood for three hours without working. That's a fact. There are enough facilities that work. We have sharply increased the money we take from recyclable materials, we have also reduced the money for living expenses,“, Nikolay Savov also said.
