The crisis with GPs is deepening. Their number in our country continues to decrease, and the workload on them is growing, it becomes known from data from the Health Insurance Fund.
The GPs with practices at the end of this year are just over 3300 compared to 4019 five years earlier, i.e. they have decreased by 17.4%. Statistics also show that more doctors are closing their offices than opening new ones.
For example, since the beginning of the year - 72 practices have terminated their contract with the Fund, and only 50 family doctors have signed a new one.
