Record low number of new laws, only three for the entire year of 2024. This is reported in the new issue of "Legal Barometer" - a civil initiative for periodic monitoring and assessment of the state and development of the legal order in Bulgaria, led by Prof. Daniel Valchev, the publication reported, quoted by BTA.
They point out that 2024 will be the year with the lowest number of new laws adopted since the beginning of the study in 2010. The trend of over 90% of laws being amended and supplemented more than once a year continues. The Social Security Code is once again the law with the highest average annual number of amendments and supplements - seven times a year, the new issue of the magazine reports. The review of legislation for 2024 indicates a lasting trend in laws being changed not because of the need for improvement, but because of failure to meet accepted deadlines by institutions, the initiative states.
The new issue 23 of "Legal Barometer" will be presented tomorrow at 10:00 in the Exlibris Hall, ul. „Slavyanska“ No. 14 by prof. Daniel Valchev, Dean of the Faculty of Law of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".
