A large quantity of pyrotechnics were seized from a private home in Knezha. The procedural and investigative actions were carried out by officers of the Regional Directorate for Internal Affairs and the Pleven Regional Directorate - Knezha.
A search was carried out at the home of a 45-year-old woman. In a garage adjacent to the house, numerous boxes with various pyrotechnics were found.
According to the owner, they were worth about 150,000 leva. The resident does not have a proper permit for their storage at the specified address. The area has been secured and cordoned off, bTV reported.
Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated.
Searches and seizures were carried out under conditions of urgency, with subsequent court approval and with the participation of two capital teams. A total of 382 boxes containing various pyrotechnic articles of class 1, 2, 3 and 4 - Roman candles, firecrackers, rockets, etc. - were seized as material evidence.
Representative samples of the said articles were seized for the purpose of preparing an explosive and chemical expertise.
