Ivan Hristanov: Borisov should put his clothes on and form a cabinet with his beloved "Vazrazhdane" - 1

The most correct government would be for the mandate-holder GERB to take full responsibility for the devastation they have caused so far and form a government with "Vazrazhdane". It is clear that it will not happen. This opinion was expressed to the Bulgarian National Radio by Ivan Hristanov, leader of the "Unity" party, financier and former deputy minister of agriculture.

"We have heard Boyko Borisov say that the EPP will be angry with him and will not allow him to speak with a nationalist party, that we know how it is in Europe. But he forgets that in France they are already working with Le Pen's party, so at least France will not be angry with him. And another thing - he himself governed for 4 years. with Volen Siderov and Valeri Simeonov, and against their background Kostadin Kostadinov looks downright civilized. So I don't see any justification in his words. To put on his rags and form a cabinet with his beloved and close friends "Vazrazhdane". I have witnessed in two parliaments how they were constantly given what to vote for and how to vote. But it is clear that it will not happen," said Hristanov.

According to him, the entry of "Democratic Bulgaria" into talks with GERB for a government is a suicide mission: "Sit down and talk to Borisov about fighting corruption is like talking to the Sultan about ending the Ottoman yoke in Bulgaria or sitting down and talking to Putin about ending the repression of journalists in Russia, which is absurd, it can't happen. When they sit down to talk to Borisov, they give him amnesty, but amnesty is given when you return what you stole or betray your comrades and they go to prison.

According to him, society has specific expectations and that is why the turnout drops in each subsequent election: "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" must realize that the civically responsible position is of firm opposition when it comes to anti-corruption actions.".

Hristanov defined the proposed Budget 2025 as strongly pro-inflationary and pro-corruption: "I do not see any talks about it between the so-called negotiating parties - GERB, "Democratic Bulgaria", BSP and "There is such a people".
