The necessary net monthly income for the maintenance of life for a single worker living alone is 1,521 leva, and 2,738 leva is needed for a three-member family with two working adults and a child up to 14 years old. This is according to data from the Institute for Social and Trade Union Research and Training (ISSIO) at the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB), which were presented at the press conference for the first quarter of 2025.
The necessary income for maintenance increases by 3.2% on a quarterly basis and 4.6% on an annual basis.
