Television journalist Dilyana Grozdanova has passed away, her relatives announced.
Dilyana Grozdanova was born on November 4, 1957 in Sofia. She graduated with a degree in "Journalism" from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".
Her career began at the Bulgarian National Radio and the Bulgarian National Television. She later became the host of the program "Otzvuk" on BNT.
For the last year and a half, she has been battling a serious health condition, after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis years ago, BGNES reports.
Dilyana Grozdanova also plays an active role in the country's political life. In 1999 was an image maker for the then mayor of Sofia, Stefan Sofianski, and later became a founding member of his party - Union of Free Democrats (SSD).
In 2001, she was elected as a member of parliament from the NMSV lists in the XXXIX National Assembly. In early 2005, she left parliament and retired from the political scene.
She then returned to the media as executive director and host of the revived weekly show “Otzvuk“ on TV7.
