Borislav Sandov: There are more questions than clear answers, because it is very difficult to reach a cabinet - 1

After GERB renewed negotiations for a cabinet with the BSP and ITN, unofficial information emerged that the regular government has already been agreed upon, and Rosen Zhelyazkov is being prepared for prime minister.

"It is important to have a government, but there are too many stumbling blocks. They are moving towards the more likely option of no government. "A coalition means at least four entities," said former Minister of the Environment Borislav Sandov on the program "The Day ON AIR."
According to him, there are more questions than clear answers, because it is very difficult to reach a cabinet.

"If it comes to that, there are risk factors, one of which is the ITN - they are an unpredictable coalition partner, they are unstable and very easy to evade", Sandov told Bulgaria ON AIR.

The former Minister of the Environment is of the opinion that GERB leader Boyko Borisov also changes his mind quickly.

Nuclear energy has no future
"Investment in a nuclear power plant is a state investment. Why should we continue to plan expensive ineffective projects? They are military targets, as we see in the war between Russia and Ukraine. As for the Kozloduy NPP, these reactors that are currently operating produce almost 40%, and they will continue to operate. At the same time, we have such a rapid growth in renewable energy sources. We need to stop burying public funds in energy. We need to liberalize the market. Nuclear energy has no future. It is not developing, it is plateauing and dying out. New technologies are coming with new networks and large batteries. The state must organize the transmission network and guarantee capacity", Sandov emphasized.

Corruption and theft are also at the root of the water shortage

According to him, in recent years our relations with Japan have deteriorated because of the "Chaira" PAWPP.

"Trying to corrupt Japanese people is a big problem. In Bulgaria, corruption has always been the number one problem. We ourselves stumble in many ways", he pointed out.
According to him, corruption and theft are also at the root of the water shortage.

"One of the biggest corruption leaks in the last 20 years is from public funds coming from European funds, in water supply and sanitation projects. "You end up burying it and it's not visible until it starts to crack," Sandov also noted.
