„True faith is in times when people do not feel very strong and do not imagine that they can do everything. Then they feel that they need support, that they need a protector. I am still hopeful that the state in which our entire world is – will not lead to any serious consequences”,
This was stated by the vicar of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, Bishop Tikhon, in front of NOVA.
In his words, when talking about traditions, the religious and church are displaced. „When something bad happens, women are the first in the church. It is still believed that religion is a religion of the heart, that it is an emotion. Religion is the clash between reason and emotion, and where they come together – an arc is formed. This is faith”, added Bishop Tikhon.
He explained that there is only one medicine for “broken” people - love. “The Lord, with his death on the cross, has redeemed us from death, from original sin. When you do something with love and desire – nothing can stop you, it brings you joy”, added Bishop Tikhon.
”If we retaliate with evil – we increase evil, if we retaliate with good – we nullify evil”, he also said.
