The Parliamentary Committee on Budget and Finance adopted the special law on revenues and expenditures on second reading, reports Nova TV.
Almost all editorial proposals were rejected by the majority. Among them are texts by the PP-DB, which the coalition explained that they regulate the continuation of programs set in last year's budget. From the „DPS - New Beginning” made proposals to return the VAT rate for bread and flour to 0%, and that for restaurants to 9%. They were also rejected.
The main addition in the texts concerns compensation for businesses for high electricity prices.
After the decision of the relevant committee, a position was issued by “DPS - New Beginning”. According to the formation, the future governing majority of GERB, BSP and ITN has rejected as inadmissible the proposal to introduce a permanent zero VAT rate for bread and flour and 9% for the restaurant business.
“The future governing majority decided that the price of bread for Bulgarian citizens is an inadmissible issue in a budget committee and rejected it. I emphasize that the future governing majority voted “against”. "Now you can explain why Mr. Peevski called this thing that will be born "unclean," commented the deputy chairman of the PG of "DPS - New Beginning" Yordan Tsonev.
