Dimitar Manolov: Electricity from abroad is cheap until they feel you are bent

If they are going to make a budget in an election campaign, they will stuff whatever they want into it and it will become a bunch of grapes. The state interest does not allow for fiscal strikes, we must spread ourselves according to our means, but it also depends on what the means are, said the president of the Podkrepa Confederation of Trade Unions

Dimitar Manolov: Electricity from abroad is cheap until they feel you are bent - 1

The protest of employers and unions over the high price of electricity is postponed.

"The horizon is short until the adoption of this law, which will allow the state to function - to collect revenues and make expenditures. I am skeptical about these three months. There are enough reasons to worry about the possibility of adopting a budget for these three months. The law allows everything. If they make exceptions for one position, there are others for which an exception should be made on the same grounds. They are talking about three months to encourage politicians to make a budget", commented the president of the "Podkrepa" coalition, Dimitar Manolov, in the studio of "Denyat ON AIR".
What are the chances of a regular government
He hopes to have a regular government, although according to him there are incompatibilities at first glance between the future coalition partners. But he does not see it having a long horizon.
"The system parties are very different, how will they walk together in one rut? The Germans crashed, although they were given as an example. If we are realistic, it is not impossible", said Manolov.

The 2025 budget
The expectations of the president of the "Podkrepa" coalition are going to give away a lot, if we are heading towards early elections.

"If they are going to make a budget in a pre-election campaign, they will stuff whatever they want into it and it will become a mess. The state interest does not allow for fiscal strikes, we have to spread ourselves according to our means, but it also depends on what the means is", said Dimitar Manolov.
On the air of Bulgaria ON AIR, he expressed the opinion that there is a possibility that new loans will be taken out, which, however, will not be returned by those who took them out.

The price of electricity
Dimitar Manolov predicts that business dissatisfaction will continue due to high electricity prices and that we will have to import more and more. In his words, some time ago, the business made a mistake by deciding to "trade electricity in the market like vegetables".

"Today at noon, the power went out in the center of Sofia. When the power is gone, there is no way it can go through the wires. It is cheap outside until they feel you are bent, if they feel you are bent - it stops being cheap", said the guest.

Entering the Eurozone

Assen Vassilev is optimistic about a 3% deficit, which is the requirement for our country to join the Eurozone.

"We will not achieve these indicators, we have accountants who are magicians - some income from this year will go to the next. The decision on the Eurozone will be political, we can go to a budget surplus and still not go to the Eurozone", commented Dimitar Manolov.
