Ivelin Mihaylov: If "Velichye" was in parliament, it would have voted against the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet - 1

If the Constitutional Court (CS) rules that there are not enough votes to allow "Velichye" to enter parliament, the party will turn to the Court in Strasbourg. This was stated to the Bulgarian National Radio by the founder of "Velichye" Ivelin Mihaylov.

"We will provide evidence. In order to file an appeal to the Court in Strasbourg, we must have gone through all instances in Bulgaria".

In the last parliamentary elections, "Velichye" did not reach 21 votes to pass the 4% barrier and enter the 51st National Assembly. A recount of the ballots was carried out in 1777 polling stations. The Constitutional Court is expected to rule on the matter.

"I know that the entry of "Velichy" into the National Assembly will also be a political decision," said Mihaylov. He added that if his party were in parliament, it would vote against the election of the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet.

"If we enter parliament, we will demand that this government explain to us the reason for its existence," commented Mihaylov.

He indicated that he had met with representatives of the EC and EP, but did not want to name exactly whom.

The leader of "Velichy" announced that he was also the founder of a new foundation called "Patriots for Bulgaria". "We have created an association for the tourism industry. We will also create a number of other associations". The foundation will also deal with the training of political personnel.

"We will be looking for people - practitioners, so that we can train personnel in politics. They must know how the state functions. We have a partnership with a number of large businessmen," Ivelin Mihaylov also said.
