The budget must be balanced and real, we will not insist on a 3% deficit and we do not think that if we are not ready for the eurozone, we should enter it, and I do not think that this ruling coalition wants this to happen. This was said to the Bulgarian National Radio by MP Radostin Vassilev, leader of the MECH party, pointing out that their parliamentary group is "something like an opposition to the opposition and they are independent, which allows them to be on the crest of what the people want".
"We are not like PP-DB, to insist now, we are not like "Vazrazhdane" and when Bulgaria is ready and being part of the EU, the most normal thing is to enter the eurozone, but truly, prepared and with arguments, and not just at any cost. ... In GERB there is a fictitious desire to enter the eurozone. There is some resistance there and it is related to problems - most likely corruption - that this party has. A lot of cash revolves around this entity".
MECH will abstain from voting on military aid to Ukraine, but not on humanitarian aid, said the party leader.
Bulgaria must manage strategic national security objects such as "Lukoil-Neftokhim", Vassilev believes and emphasized that MECH is also in favor of nationalizing the three ERPs and for a new concession for managing resources related to gold and precious metals.
"We will not participate in the election of regulators and we will not propose. When the time comes, we will argue for the replacement of these people," said Radostin Vassilev.
MECH's PG will support the ban on vapes and "we are thinking of criminalizing this when the time comes," he said.
