The Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) has elected a new director of the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange. The post will be held by lawyer Dian Boev, who will replace the previous head of the institution - Konstantin Konstantinov. However, a competition for the position must be held within six months, BNT reported.
Dian Boev is a lawyer by education, with a master's degree in European and international economic law from the University of Vienna. In recent years, he has worked in one of the leading international law firms in Bulgaria, with a focus on energy. He has experience in the electricity industry, renewable energy, natural gas, regulatory issues at the European and local level and procedural representation in energy cases, the BSE statement said.
A reference shows that Dian Boev is a member of the Haskovo Bar Association, although he works in Sofia. Before studying in Vienna, he graduated from the law department at the Plovdiv University "Paisiy Hilendarski".
The institution thanks the previous CEO of the exchange, Konstantin Konstantinov. No reasons have been announced for the change.
