Ramadan Atalay: We want posts - 1

The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) intends to appoint its deputy ministers to the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. This was stated by the party's MP Ramadan Atalay on BNT. According to him, the coalition partners must comply with the agreements reached in order to guarantee the stability of the government.

"When a coalition starts communicating through the media, this undermines trust in the government", Atalay emphasized. He was categorical that the MRF insists on assuming responsibility through participation in the executive branch and key regulatory bodies, news.bg specified.

Among the candidates being discussed is that of Ms. Kasabova, who is currently the head of the cabinet of the Minister of Agriculture. According to him, she is suitable for a deputy ministerial post in the relevant ministry.

In addition to the executive branch, the MRF also has proposals for the regulatory authorities. For a member of the Commission for the Protection of Competition (CPC), the party nominated Çetin Kazak, whom Atalay described as "sufficiently erudite and with many years of parliamentary experience".

The MP stated that the MRF's demands are in accordance with the coalition agreement, which provides for the distribution of responsibilities between the partners. If the agreements are not respected and the party's priorities are not implemented, the MRF will reconsider its participation in the government, Atalay emphasized.

We recall that two days ago GERB started talking about pressure from the coalition partners in the context of the election of regulators. Denitsa Sacheva spoke about this in the BNT studio and warned that GERB would not be a universal explanation for all failures and a launch pad for other parties. The next day, the party's leader Boyko Borisov also stated that his party would not be a scapegoat, after distancing himself from the Zhelyazkov cabinet for two days in a row, stating that the government is only with the GERB mandate. This is happening against the backdrop of negotiations and discussions on the draft budget for 2025.

On behalf of the BSP-United Left, who are a nominal partner in the coalition, Borislav Gutsanov rejected all veiled accusations of blackmail for positions and using GERB as a launch pad for their people.
