Andrey Tsekov on chats with Peevski: There were calls with pressure, which I opposed - 1

Today Delyan Peevski published excerpts from communication between us. An old trick from the KGB manuals - to tarnish an opponent by tying him to your own toxicity. This is what Andrey Tsekov wrote on his Facebook profile regarding the chats between him and the leader of "DPS-New Beginning", which were published by Peevski this morning.

I have only met with Mr. Peevski in the National Assembly

Tsekov also writes:

"So much for the comments, now for the facts:

1. As can be seen from the extracts, Peevski has called me many times.
2. As can be seen from the extracts, I have answered the calls, as required by the etiquette between a minister and a chairman of a parliamentary group.
3. Most of the topics were trivial - budget or legislation from the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.
4. There were also calls with pressure for certain actions, which I opposed.
5. I have met with Mr. Peevski only in the National Assembly - either in a broad leadership format, or together with the chairman of the regional committee."

And he adds: "So much for the chats that come out as a reaction against the illumination of the gray cardinals in the judiciary, the Ministry of Interior and construction."

This morning, the leader of "DPS - New Beginning" distributed to the media photos from a chat with Andrey Tsekov from PP-DB. Delyan Peevski claims that the MP sought him out for meetings.

“Since I believe that truth is the best policy and that the new beginning is also this - that the truth and facts are respected, I am attaching part of my SMS correspondence with Andrey Tsekov from the time when he was a minister. It is evident that our meetings were in my office in the National Assembly and that Nikolay Nankov did not have to lead them. Tsekov should remember - the truth and the facts sooner or later come to light. And I believe that people deserve the truth and for a truly new beginning for Bulgaria, they must know it”, said Peevski.
