In the village of Ushintsi, Razgrad district, thermometers recorded record low temperatures of minus 25 degrees Celsius at night, Meteo Bulgaria reported.
The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) has declared a yellow code for dangerously low temperatures in Razgrad district and 17 other districts in the country.
According to meteorologists, the maximum values today will vary from minus 2-3 degrees in the northeastern regions to 6-7 degrees in the southwestern part of the country. In the capital Sofia, thermometers will reach about 1 degree.
