A 44-year-old woman died after her ATV hit a tree in the mountain above the Blagoevgrad village of Kremen. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, the hospital in Razlog reported to Nova TV.
The director of the Pirin National Park, Rosen Banenski, told the Bulgarian National Radio that the family was in the lower part of the mountain, outside the park, where riding snowmobiles and ATVs is absolutely prohibited.
According to initial information, there were three people in the vehicle - a man, a woman and their child. Most likely, the man lost control of the machine and hit the tree hard. The woman died on the spot. Her husband and child did not suffer serious injuries. The family is from the village of Osenovo.
